Arty in infantry only

Poll

should the commander have arty in infantry only?

Hi,

I've been thinken and shoudn't it be better to give the commander arty in infantry only? Because the commander has only UAV and sattelite support.

If the enemy comes in a large group like 10 people and you have like 4 guys defending a flag they don't gonne live for long aspecially againt high ranks. So if the commander has arty he can help them out.

That's my opinion how about yours?

Should the commander have arty in infantry only?

Sorry if this tread already exists.

RE: Arty in infantry only

if you have 4 guys on defence the commander did not do his job right
i mean, he should order some squads to that point.
maybe 1 time so when all the flags are taken he can kill the other commander or when the flags are not your he can try to get a flag back himself with some arty to help him.

i think it's a good idea. would keep the game moving a lot more instead of people stacking up and sniping/nading.

Maybe. But the commander should only have one or two arty guns. Not three like most of the time.

Hell Yes that would be fun stuff when you see that mass of RED dots to watch them flying in the air.

I believe this would be a good idea. But as suggested i would only like the commander to have so many like 5 maybe 6 during a round. This would mean he would have to use them wisely instead of just on one man!

Also i believe it would be good if he got an extra one on karkland right at the end when merc have lost all there flags. This is because there is one place on the map which is hard to kill the remaining people and can be a pain in the arse!
WTF is the fascination with the Hotel flag!!?!
There are other flags to defend/attack ffs!!?!

Yes that's why it should be cool to have the arty. If you have lots of red dot's you can arty them and it would really help your squads out.

Also yes it should be limited that the commander should use them wiseley.

comanders are rubish on IO, so i think not having arty is maybe broing for comander because you dont normally get kills unless someone comes lookin for ya, so i think its good having no arty because it encourages people not to go comander. It can get boring. If ya want to go comander go vehicles its a lot more exciting

Hell no! Arty is on of the annoyances that people who play I/O want to avoid. The commander's role in I/O is to keep UAV's up and the squads aware of enemy locations. Want arty? Play vehicle maps.

it would be much more fun to give a squad a mortyr canon. atleast 4 members carry a piece of the canon each. if they all stand really close to each other and press a button meanwhile the mortyr is able to shoot, the sl can aim and the kills show up in teamscore. this gives squads with good teamwork some extra benefit.

No artillery in infantry only. The grenades are enough artillery, no need to have more. Or maybe just a tiny little artillery that is automatically called upon those guys who stay in one place far too long. Should reduce camping a lot.

Having Arty mixed in with your inf is not smart. If your position is over ran then you would lose those big guns. During the Viet Nam war Arty was placed on hill tops and used to support the Inf. the same as it was during WWll. A commander can use morter and get the results that he needs depending on the size such as either 88mm or 4duce both are attached to inf companies and used correctly can be most effective.
