Would you pay to Play BF2??

Would you pay a small monthly fee, lets say $5-$10 a month to play BF2. If it were updated and maintenanced far more often for bugs and hacks.. And that EA or Dice actually listened to its subscribers. And if it were a pay to play game would servers but cheaper to own or just non-existent.

My kids and an few clan mates play WoW and seemed to be fairly pleased with that game and the monthly fee(I have not even tried to play WoW, not my kind of game. FPS's only for me.)

Not anymore but in the beginning i would have paid – so I clicked yes

i don’t care about the bugs, but new content(maps) I would gladly pay
but if its just bugs-fixes and lame paid admin’s I would NOT pay

and some people actually do pay if they rent servers, so the idea is not that far fetched

the ranking system idea could be improved a lot to be like RPG's global score = spend able virtual currency (unlocks, reserved vehicles, ect), then I definitely there and paying

hell no i wouldnt !! I would probably stop playing it TBH. Then again im so addicted i'd probably fork over the dough lol. If they guaranteed some fundamental fixes it may be worth it. Definitely not more that $10 a month though.

i think once you fork over the $50 for the game itself,plus all the expansions,that should
be it.What would you think if you spent $250 on Windows XP,then every month Microsoft
charged you $25 so you can download the updates?? same thing basically. So i said no
i wouldnt.

It's stupid if you suddenly have to pay for BF2, because it's bugs everywhere, weapons s*ck all of a sudden, bunny hopping is still possible and the worst part is that you still can dolphin dive!

I would have payed when i started with the game i was addicted but after tons and tons of crashes,errors,freezing and who knows how many other problems the answer is NO.Unless they start fixing the problems with the game i think that the game could in the near future be a nice add-on on the shelf to look at.I mean what is the point of releasing patches when it fixes 2 bugs and adds 25 new ones???

Maybe Earth is Hell of some other planet!

No, sure would not they got my money for the game and to be honest I think I got ripped, First they can not tell me that they could not put out a game with out all the bugs it has and then keep screwing it up worse with every patch, then to beat it all charge 10.00 for a 3 map booster pak, yeah buddy, dont get me wrong I love the game and i am at 100% play time but there are serious problems with the game, ea games does not give a care about us just the money we spend on the game. but no I will not put more money into the game. they have enough money from me already

I already pay. The dirty rats clan takes subs, so we can keep our ranked server running. Which is why I hate it when people don't follow the rules on our server, or have a hissy fit at us, cause I'm paying for them to piss me off in a way.

Most people don't realise that the ranked servers they play on are being paid for by the admin they slag off - when you think about it, maybe they do have a right to reserve that jet. We don't do it that way, but I can understand why some people do.

get a grip you fools, who the hell in their right mind when caught in a firefight, wouldn't try to evade bullets by jumping?????

I suppose all you hardened BF2 players refuse point blank to jump, and only sidestep bullets???

CRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP

Guess what, 90% of people that play this game need a target to remain stationary in order to hit it with enough bullets to kill. The answer to this is for you to improve your garbage aim, not for me to stand still like some bunny caught in the headlights. I mean, it ain't like I'm flying or anythin', and I know of plenty guys who can still waste me even when I do bunny hop!

No way would I pay, regardless of whatever EA promise.

Why? well the game gets worse with every patch, framerates get lower, lag increases etc, all the bugs were suposed to be sorted in patches.

And you ask me if I would pay to play, with the way EA fixes things?

NO NO NO NO, I would have no problem in uninstalling then binning BF2 with a smile if I was given the choice between play or no play.

Let me tell ya, after playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter BF2 seems pretty damn good. It made me apreciate BF2 a whole lot more...lol

Not a chance in hell.
We are already paying to upgrade, which is more than I want to do as it is.

A few things would have to happen..
The majority of all of the bugs fixed.

Free server hosting from my PC that tracks.

Alot more policeing of servers and players.

A more defigned set of rules that I agree with.

More frequent patches and updates.

The money goes to this game ever as opposed to development of future game.

the allowance that if they pull the plug, we can still play.

Still, it wouldnt be worth it when I can go play another game that offers all that for free, such as UT or americas Army. Its just not worth it...

Just say no to play to play, pay to host, and pay for bonus packs!!

NOPE.

I pay for internet and I bought the game, there should be no more fees.

A good example is Everquest... I bought the game not knowing there was a monthly fee and I have never played it. So if anyone wants an Everquest and lives in SE Michigan you can have it.

Monthly fees are a freakin joke. These game comoanies are already making a killing as it is. Having the bugs fixed is their job and not something we should have to pay a fee for. I find disconcerting that some one would even suggest it, unless it was EA of course.

heeeelllllll no!once i get enuf money and when quake wars comes out im probally going to move on on start playing that instead of BF2.
