Do you care about your stats?

Poll

Do you care about your stats?

ok guys...this i think will be interesting, no in betweens....you wither care or you dont, i just want to see where everyone stands..

me.....i used to care about my stats, but....now.....i dont care one bit

i think it's because so many people tried accusing me of stat padding...

it used to get me really pissed.....now iv grown numb to both the accusers and i dont even care about my stats anymore.....no big deal

im just glad i have some cool unlocks and a good deal of knife kills

the stats dont make the player, they just invite padding and smactardishness, the new word for the day........

the system is exsploited to the max right now nd not many people care much about taking flags, the whole point of the game.

For me the stats matter a lot. I think it's fun to keep good stats or at least care about them somewhat. I like to keep my Kills/deaths even if not more than even.

I could play or I could see what Im playing.
If stats dont matter, lets take out the final scores, lets not have a killed by message, there should be no points for anything, no flag cap, nothing.
Then we'll see how many people play.
Stats make an otherwise repeditive task somewhat enjoyable by showing you what youre doing.

When I was a kid we had a game, bounce the ball on a wall and catch it as much as you can, then try beat that record next time.

Of course I care about my stats. I have fun in the game by being good at it. :)

But I still think having fun is more important than playing for a promotion.
"To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. And Number three is, you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special."

well i played bf1942 as well as the dc mod for it. many people still play those games and the only time you see stats there is at the final screen and every new game brings a new begining.

overall stats will give this game staying power over the prior versions.

I don't care. I used to play deus ex 1. I ended up being one of the best who ever played the game. I used to worry about my kill/death ratio and being top of the map at the end. Where did it get me...nowhere. It made me take the game so serious that i forgot about the fun it was created for. Now Deus Ex 1 is a lonely multiplayer game which is still being played by some of the old community. However I have moved onto more realistic up and coming games like BF2 & BF SF. So all the worry in the past bla bla bla got me nowhere cos ppl don't care, or remeber me from Deus Ex anyhow cos the game is almost dead and other top player like myself have moved on. All who start BF2 become newbies again lol. This time i am not going to worry about stats. Instead i am gonna have fun the way BF2 is meant to be even if it means losing big time. As long as i enjoyed it whoopy :) For those with good or bad stats it doesnt matter one bit. Cos in the end no matter what your stats are or how good you think you are you will not be remeber in the years to come..when a new game comes out and BF2 gets lonely just like Deus Ex 1 did. Just have fun :) Get those flags down and leg it to the next :)

Yeah, they give me something to shoot for as I play the game. Right now I'm working on an overall 2 K/D ratio as infantry.

If you did not care about your stats you would not be playing in stat servers.

lol yea and thats gonna get you real far in life. you gonna put that on a job app? over 600 hours of sitting in front of a screen because you had nothing better to do?

hard work is one thing, teamwork is a totaly diffrent thing and noone gives two shiiits about teamwork anymore, they want that freaking badge and god forbid they have to deviate from their personal plan to get it and help the team cap a flag or win a round, they will just team switch when there are 15 tickets left so their stats look better. thast what stats has brought to this game, it was so much more of a fun and team orientated game in bf42 and bfv. BF2 needs even more teamwork then its predicesors but it gets about half of the teamwork that the bf42 and bfv players gave, all thanks to stats.

As my frag rate suggests I'm not to bothered about it. I just do what needs to be done.
Most people i've seen with a high frag rate have got a low team score in comparrison as they are too scared to run infront of tanks and APC's to try and re-vive or cap a flag.

You can see some people waiting away from a flag until it turns white, then they come running over to get a capture assist. or they will park their vehicle up to let you go first to take out the mines and make sure there is no C4 about. Then when you come accross an enemy APC/ tank/ vehicle you get off a couple of shots and they come in for the kill. CHEERS!

I just like to get in the action and do what i can

I am trying to get the medals though and that brings a lot of deaths. You do things for a badge that you wouldn't normally do.

I get paid pretty good to sit in front of two computer screens for 9hrs a day 5 days a week. :mask: It is just training for the real world. LOL

I just want my unlocks. That requires points.
