New Account Mgtmt and Authentication- Official Statement

For all of you facing problems with the new aacount management and authentication system: Please read the following statement by Bacchus (Armydev)

Once services are restored, many of you will get an error when you attempt to login ("Error: Unknown"). This error message is expected. Your account has probably expired. The fix? A one-time re-authentication. And here's how you do it:

1. Goto login.americasarmy.com.
2. Select the appropriate link (NOTE: for most , you will need to select "Expired account".)
3. On the next page, type in your username & email address that you used to register your account. Press "OK". You will receive a temporary password via email. Use this temporary password, return to login.americasarmy.com and choose the "Change Password" link.
4. That's it! Change your password -- and go play!

The new account management is really cool.
I have 30451 experience points and 2049 to go before i "Honor up". :D
I passed marksmantraining with 36 hits. :)
I hope they will keep on adding some cool stats to that page. :)

BEFORE you try this be sure to just log in via the site. If it lets you in all you need to do is add an email address to your profile.
If it doesnt let you in then you need to follow the steps for expired acount!

Well i have done that allready yesterday morning but when the honorsystem gets reactivated on the official servers???

On our server honor is working without any problems again but why its still deactivated on the official servers?

Hey!

A dude from me have a problem! He can't use "Expired account" because if he
use his "name" and "email" the site answered "Invalid user name or e-mail address. " !

He don't understand this (me too) he have become the americasarmy - LogIn with his
username & email - adress..!

If he will expire his account with this LogIn it doesn't work... :sad:

Any ideas...???????? Please help if you know.......!

First enter "Maintain Account" with player-nick and old password.
At "change account" fill in your E-Mail-Adress.
(Note: It is not needed to use your old E-Mail-Adress, that you have registered with)
Then confirm with "ok"
Afterwards try the "Expired Account" procedure again.
Then it will work.

I filled in my e-mailadress a couple of days ago and the expired message disappeared... Well, anyway... I now activated it again to be sure ;).

OK everything's fine now, it all worked out great.

1. Log in to maintain your account, as you need to set your email address again.
2. Reactivate your account, then copy paste the password you get to log in (maintain account again).
3. Change your password.

All done.

Guys i cant even 'maintain' my account.. when i put my name and password it says 'invalid password or username' (when i know its correct) and when i click on the 'forgot password' link and it 'sends me my password' it doesnt? ?( :sad: it is STRANGE because my account is still active as i tryed regisering a new user and typed my name, it didnt let me, so i dont know whats the hell up with account-mangement on this new site... can someone help??

Yeahh Busta!

Thats it...! This Problem is always the same like from my dude! The way from Sailor1
doesn't work, same like you it says "invalid password or username" !!!! But the name
and the password are correct !!!!!!!

Now 2 guys need help :) !!

Thx guys i did it too,

It first said invalid e-mail adres and or username,

But when i checked it didnt have an emailadres filled in for me.

So i filled in my e-mail adres and it all worked out just fine.

Hope I can play soon without getting tk-ed all the time.......

you gotta type in an email addy, cause there is no1 in the profile!

so, log in normal, type in email addy, then maintain acc - type in username and email - it works

so what are u suposed to do if u cant even "maintain your account?" it is impossible for me to enter an E-mail address it keeps sayin' "invalid username or password" when i god-damn know it aint wrong :unsure:

Hey there,

You need to log in, then you need to go to go to change profile, then put in your e-mail adress (cause where it should be will be empty). Then log out and do the expire account thing.

You don't login, it doesn't work!!!! If you don't login you can't update your profile,
