Unfortunately, I don't really trust any of these 'detections'.

As I understand it, there's both a name hack AND a GUID spoofer which can be used simultaneously, so anyone's account could get 'caught'. The person using the name & guid hack will appear to have your name and your unique ID. EA don't seem to do much checking up regarding IPs (afaik the IP of the player is the sole thing that can be used to differentiate between a name/guid hacker and a legit player), so anyone could be next and there's nothing they can do about it. If you're in the top ten, it's more than likely that you'll be a target for someone who is out to get you reset. Honestly, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that if someone is in the top 10 and then suddenly has a favourite victim they've killed 150 times in a round, that person is obviously being targeted by a name/guid hacker. Why would someone take the time to get into the top 10 and then stat-pad or cheat so blatantly once at the top?

EA need to sort themselves out. At the moment the game is fatally flawed because cheaters and unscrupulous types can easily change their name & guid to fuck with people's stats and consequently get them reset.

look at user toplist, a lot of them do. If he was no 1545 in the world no-one would care....

Im next...it seems someone name hacked my account and gave me a purple heart I havent earned. Im sure they will pad my account and give me a new fav victim with something along the lines of 100 to 200 kills like they did Erwin Rommel. It was a fun ride but from this day on I retire my account. COD 4 is coming out ina few days. BTW I fould the guy who name hacked my account. his name is SteveStefler[QC]. Im not sure what anyone can do with that but he is the culprit.

What im saying is my fav victim now is only 29 kills. Im sure the one who is name hacking me will make that change to something very drastic. It only takes 50 kills on one person to cause a reset....so why should I bother? he was playing on my account today because a friend of mine tried to look me up and there was another name on his buddy list. Im not stupid enough to stat pad with all the work Ive put into this game. Im sure that was the case for firestarter and Erwin. Put it like this...they will constantly name hack the top guys and it will just continue on down the line.

lol.. how do you explain someone killing you 46 times in a round? Some people don't even get 46 kills in a round at all.

That is simple..I had that about a month into playing this game...I was on Dragon Valley and I had a mere 2 kills and 2 deaths....I went afk on the bottom of the carrier and when I got back someone knifed me. The round ended about a minute later. the end of the round score showed I had 2 kills ans 48 deaths. Meaning he mustve killed me over and over while I was afk...the entire round. Any other questions?

I appreciate the support. Besides getting way off base like he seems to have been doing...my post was simply to tell that the name hackers are out there and everybody will pay the price...Once the top ten are gone...the new top ten will be victims...and so on and so forth. I had alot of fun in this game but I didnt give my life to it like some people suggest. I only averaged about 4 hrs per day which isnt bad at all. Hopefully they will get this fixed for BF3. I will not be back as Black Jesus for that game...time for a new name. Peace to all.

Happened to this other guy I know, only it was me camping around his spawn points and killing him 29 times over. Teaches AFK'ers a lesson.


And phatscat, I'm not jealous by any means. Nothing appeals to me about being a top player in this game. It means that I've played the game way too much and that I'll get flamed on all sorts of forums for hell knows what. I'm not saying that top players play this game too much, but just in my opinion, I wouldn't want to play one game that much. All you get in the top 10 is publicity and a reset. Any other blind insults you wanna throw out there?
