to many hackers

well just tried to play on 2 servers and laggy as hell due to people using hacks this games had it now.im getting really cheesed off due to all the hacks going undetected.and dont reply and say theres not many hackers theres f"in loads.in the last 2months there must be over 10% of players using them if not more what a joke its ruined this game due to selfish noobs.

You have to factor in the luck and skill of the player before you call them hackers :blink:

You do mention one critical point, massive lag spikes are a clear sign of hacking, especially the commander hack.

His kds 2.04 at the moment, I dont think he's that bad. But what kinda hacks are you talkin about, like infantry only stuff or what?

It's not true 100% of the time, but when there is a commander hack on the server, look for people that have mad pings or are spiking every couple of seconds... that's who you kick first. You should also look out for the low rankers, the hackers usually create a 2nd account so they don't compromise their original. They just don't realize that their CD Hash doesn't change.

As for the other hackers, try to stay on a server that has admins present and have PB Screenshots set up so it's easier to detect hackers.

Hacking does seem to be on the up, according to a mate of mine who helps the evenbalance lot, there has been something like 23% more catches in May than any other month in the last year.

A lot of this could be due to more vigilant admins and more screenie catches and pb picking up hacks better. Or it could just be that more people are using them, I dunno.

All online games suffer from the minority of people that cheat, as the game gets older there will be more and more cheats readily available, until eventually the ranking system gets pulled and no-one cares about cheats anymore and the game becomes the next 'Blackhawk down'.

im mainly talking about the commander hack when thats in use the server just lags up so bad its impossible to play.im not that bothered about people who use aimbots etc its just the lag that p****s me off.if people want to cheat thats up2 them but when it interupts the whole god dam server it ticks me off.THE END

I don't agree with kicking those who are lag spiking, I have found that everyone spikes out when the hack is in play, so it's not a reliable way to determine who is doing it. I had a 780+ ping one time on a server where I normally have 20-30.

Worse than the lagging is when it crashes the server, all points for that round are LOST.

Its funny the first time you see it, cars falling from the sky in massive numbers or even tons of supply crates or uav's. But the second time its just an annoyance, by the seventh time I saw it I just disconnected and found somewhere else to play.

you have to be careful to judge everyone by hes attached stats

all you have to do is add someone BF2 account who is an enorm good player to you bf2tracker account and it looks like its yours

i'm not saying he did this, but he could, after all he has 3000+ rounds with 110000 points but only 19 post on this board

Same goes for me. You wonder why you're lagging, then you see the tell-tale sign of stacked vehicle drops on the minimap.... then you quit and go elsewhere.

i also have not seen the hack happen when I am playing, but I have seen it happen while someone else was playing. I usually just play on my clans server though and we usually have admins on there that will kick anyone they think is cheating.

Im another that hasn't seen the commander hack, even though I really REALLY want to. :pinch:

Only hacks i've ever seen in BF2 are the really obvious aimbots (only on team mates though, never been against someone using it, at least I dont think so).

I don't notice hackers in BF2, maybe because I don't play that much anymore.

If you want to see hackers, go play CS: Source. The hacks in there aren't even mistakable.

No it isnt because he sucks there are hackers from BF2 and they sell hacks for BF2 it is a common everyday thing in BF2 and will not be Fixed untill Dice and EA get thier Hands out of 2142.

I've seen the sites, actually, and a lot of ingame videos. It's really taking down the game. The worst thing is is that when people accuse people of hacking, they're usually denounced as bad sports.
