Why can't I choose this weapon?

Okay, I just got promoted to Sergeant.

My previous unlocks are the L8A51 and the PKM. In another thread, I was told you can unlock the tier 2 weapon if you have already unlocked the first weapon for that class. I'm trying to unlock the G36E, but I couldn't find it, so I chose "choose later" and came to ask you guys. What's going on?

do you own the Speciual Forces add-on? That's required to unlock the tier 2 weapons after you unlock the tier 1 weapon.

it would appear you weren't told the whole story, possibly under the assumption that you already owned Special Forces.
(*)(*) mauirixxx - how do I play BF2 again?

I have SF installed, I bought the deluxe pack.

I haven't PLAYED it at all, if that helps.

actually yeah, that helps. all you need to do is play one round, and kill at least 1 person.

Then you will be given the option to pick the rest of your unlocks.

What the hell is wrong with this damn thing?

I've played SF for like, 2 hours, and I was like, "Well, guess I'll go get my G36E now." and I start up BF2, and BAM! Still the tier 1 weapons.

Are there any other arrows or buttons besides the 2 sideways arrows, or is something just wrong?



EDIT: Wait a sec, I just realized that my BF2tracker.com stats page hasn't yet updated and showed that I played SF. I suppose once it gets onto BF2tracker, then I guess EA should already have it updated.

yeah, some servers update WAY faster then others - the fullcontactwar.com BF2 server updates your stats instantly once the map changes to another one.

Moders Ghost Town 24/7 updates pretty quickly too if I recall.
