What software are people using to find servers

I'm wondering what people are using to find their buddies and servers. (and how good does it woprk). I only use the main browser and I think I might be losing out on some good servers. Strangely, I found out Gamespy does that, but I didn't load it. I never load any software with the word "spy" in the name. Maybe I should have.

I´m using this site here. The ingame browser is messed up, so this site here gives you a good alternative.

Same goes for your friends. If you add your friends to your buddylist you can see where they are playing

OK, MetropolitaN....you're now a "buddy"....LOL

I just checked this browser out....it's pretty cool. (I just used the forum.) How does "Xfire" and "Gamespy" work though?

I use xfire and it's really good for chatting, finding your friends. You can see their TS IP and ingame IP. I use it religiously. I recommend it.

I also use this website(buddy list) to find my buds too.

Either one works great.

In game browser if it's just me on my lonesome, xfire if I'm after a player that I know quite well, the buddylist if it's a particular tracker member who I haven't talked with and got an xfire name from.

I always check my buddy list here to make sure no one I know is playing, and if no one is I'll just jump into the game and use the in-game browser...

The in game browser is fine, but if you want to play with some buddies, get them to download Xfire. Me and a couple of friends wanted to find a way to play with each other rather than to call each other up and exchange IP addresses that way. Xfire has a buddy list and it gives you all the information you need. You can chat during a game and start up a voice chat with your friend (or a group chat if your popular). I HIGHLY reccommend it!

xfire is too buggy for me, works then doesnt work

i use the in game browser,
when i first got it it was buggy (couldnt type in names and search by names and such, also sometimes if i hit update it would not show anything and then i would have to exit bf2 and go back in to get it to work)

then 1.03 came out and it worked perfectly for me, i could search, it was fast, it was great

then the newest patch came and it is buggy again, loads slow, and locks up :ranting:
