For those who have steam, perhaps the solution to freezes

I might have found the solution to the freezes, for the people with Steam.
So i trieda nd tried and tried to get the game working but nothing.
So in desperation i closed steam and went to AA3 folder in the steamapps/americasarmy/Binaries and started AA3 without first starting steam, so STEAM IS NOT RUNNING.
ANd it works, no more freezes.

That's what i do everytime, I dont use steam to run AA, I made a shortcut to my desktop to play AA straight away (didnt make a shortcut via Steam), I'm still having freezing problems now. PFfff, thought i could finally play after last night (played for 2 hours online). Seems things aren't fixed yet.

Yeah, that was a No go... :(

First, I got stuck on the black screen where it says "Mission Loading..."

However Lately the mission Has been loading.. and On the left i see the compass, On the middle I see the Sprint bar, and on the right i see the stance/health..

However the whole screen behind that is black.. That is where it has lately been freezing for me..

This is definitily a NO GO, believe me. It doesn't matter if you use *.exe or steam. It was just luck that the Auth.- or MBS Server did respond when you where in the game.

I've seen around 30 logfiles now from those freezes and all of them were related to Auth.- and MBS Serverproblems. The game communicates a lot with those servers and if they do not respond you get a FREEZE/LOCKUP.

It wouldn't freeze anywhere when the auth-servers would respond like they should normally do. And if they would have spend more time with error handling inside the game code, you would also get a error message inside the game and not a freeze ...

Doesn't work for me. Tried with steam, without steam, in default resolution, windowed mode, everything. Plus side of windowed mode is that I alttab to some other program and close down the AAO window from the taskbar without having to reboot, but that's it.
