FOV on 1680x1050 monitor

hey,
can someone of you please tell me what to do when enabling FOV but having some "zoom-skips" when zooming (like a lag at a certain point)?

if the zoom skip bugs you turn off widescreen fov.
If you want widescreen though you have to get used to it.
What you are seeing is the FOV jumping from 85 (standard) to 101 (WS)

What is FOV actually good for?

On a widescreen monitor it gives you a widescreen picture instead of a standard picture with the top and bottom cropped off.

FOV is Field of view, most games are set at less than 90 degrees, its an old value from 4:3 screens.
With WS monitors it should be somewhat higher, 100-120 or so, but in a PvP game it would be unfair to let someone see more than others so its mostly locked.

Okay thank you. I made two screenshots with FOV and without FOV and compared them.
I'll play with FOV on a 1920x1080 resolution now.
