Auth or Account not correct

Hi guys

after a few years of not playing AA, i've been wanting to play the old versions again
To be more specific, version 2.5
I used to Assist25 to install the game, version2.5 but now i get the message that; Auth or account might not be working/correct.
I'm pretty sure i did what i had to to get my account going.

Is auth down? is there still autherization for 2.5? should i update to 2.8? i like 2.5 more then 2.8.
