Please stop telling my users that they should stop asking questions in our forums.

You guys aware about the fact that WE are also hosting and developing parts of the AUTH System and can answer questions?! Without our tracker and the new auth- and tracking-system I've build here, nothing would work atm. For sure they have done most of the work but I've also worked here hard for many weeks already to get a new auth and stats system for aao up and running, so I find it very unfair to tell every AA Player to leave these forums and join the AA Assist ones. For sure you can join there and be active, but I don't like the fact that you tell my users to leave these forums. I wanted to support the game again so that I don't have to drop support the game and you can continue getting your stats tracked and play the game and for sure, so that we still have some activity here in the AAO Forums. It was not my goal to work here many weeks just to tell my members to leave these website and join another community. I don't have a problem when you tell them to get support for Assist on the Assist Forums, but I simply don't like it if you tell my users to stop postings here.

So please stop those comments that my users should leave this forums here and join the aa assist ones.
We also want activity here, otherwise I can simply shut down the auth and stats systems again if you don't need anything here.#

rgr that homey, i as well meant for support question, just because the fact that its already been answered.

Don't get upsetting Homey, We can't play without him, Battletracker is the centre of the new auth system, Assist is just a tool that links the AA engine to the battletracker database, Here is where all the data is stored and calculated.

We have found the Timeout waiting for response from auth system usually means you have a space in your 'aa2 playername' or your firewall blocks outgoing udp connections.
Login to battletracker and click, 'my profile' - 'tracker settings' then look at 'aa2 playername'
It seems having spaces in the playername causes the system to breakdown.

amnd , my first question would be whether or not have you enabled all the needed ports? Right click -> edit on Runserver.bat to see which ports should be open!
Also probably easier way to open ports would be just enabling DMZ (Demilitarized zone) on your router!

It sounds stupid if you say "YOU GUYS" "and tell to every aao player to leave these forums"
Nobody does it.

Log on to your router and search for DMZ or "Assing device to public IP" option! Just enter your IP there and you'll be fine!
